Legal Services are being impacted like almost every other area of life, but our aim is to reduce the stress caused at this difficult time as much as we can.
We will keep this page updated to inform you of any changes to legal practice which may affect the service we can provide.
Office Closures
We are pleased to say that our offices are fully open to the public for face to face personal advice. If you have particular health needs where you would be happier with a remote service, contact us and we can arrange an interview via most of the major providers such as Zoom, Google Meet or Skype.
Will Writing
We can provide our usual will drafting services through either face to face appointments at our office or by remote means. Contact us by telephone to decide what suits you best.
Court Appearances
The Nothern Ireland Court Service is still severely limiting the numbers allowed to attend at Courtrooms. For that reason, most cases are being dealt with remotely (without the need for you to attend in person at the Court) until they reach critical phases of the proceedings. If you have received a summons or charge sheet, you should NOT attend unless you have been advised by our office that you need to do so. Please contact us for advise specific to your case.
Police Stations
It is always advisable to seek the free and impartial advice of a solicitor if you have been arrested and taken into custody. Appearances by solicitors at Police Stations remain somewhat restricted at this point, but we remain available for telephone advice and in person attendance at Stations 24/7. Simply advise the police that you want Holmes & Moffitt to represent you, and they can make contact with us at any time of the day or night.
Urgent Matters
Although Legal business is still somewhat disrupted at this time, we have already had experience of dealing with emergency matters through videolink with the Courts. If you believe that you have an urgent matter which needs to be addressed, contact us and we will do our best to offer a solution.
